JOB SUMMARY:
Counter sales is responsible for selling electrical supplies and associated products. This position also performs basic warehouse functions including stocking, picking, shipping, inventory control and delivery of all types of merchandise. This position requires the associate to meet and exceed customer expectations, in responsiveness, detail and follow through.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to products.
- Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
- Assist customers with purchase decisions.
- Establish, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, prospective customers and co-workers.
- Establish and maintain long-term, customer relationships by meeting and exceeding our customer’s expectations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Retrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; places special orders.
- Process and fill orders accurately.
- Correctly enter in the computer system.
- Manage shipping and receiving of merchandise.
- Stock merchandise accurately, in the proper location.
- Maintain daily and advance cycle counts.
- Prepare manifest for delivery runs.
- Deliver all orders efficiently and safely.
- Consistently attain quarterly and yearly goals.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge through self-study, online courses, and vendor training.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail sales experience preferred.
- Electrical supplies knowledge preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass mandatory drug and background check
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Ability to lift 50-100#.
- Ability to climb up and down multiple steps and ladders.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
